Home Building and Residential Development

Understanding the Process Matters

RMG's residential homebuilder and development practice group represents national, regional and local home builders and residential land developers in a variety of complex transactions. Our attorneys have extensive experience in all aspects of the acquisition, development and sale of property in various stages of the entitlement and development process, including the negotiation, preparation and resolution of acquisition agreements, development agreements, cost sharing agreements, contractor agreements, AIA documents, easements, homeowner's association documents, title and survey matters, and, in conjunction with our firm's land use/zoning practice group, the entitlement and subdivision of property. In fact, some of our attorneys have worked directly in the homebuilding and development industry, which make them uniquely qualified to understand the needs of our homebuilder and developer clients. In short, we understand the process, from start to finish.

Creativity Matters

In any transaction, the parties will encounter road blocks. In those instances, it may seem easier to simply say "no" and ultimately lose the deal. What takes skill, however, is practical and creative solutions that satisfy the needs of the parties concerned, and allows the client to successfully finalize a transaction. Our practice group attorneys pride themselves on finding ways to make the deal happen, while at all times protecting the interests of our clients.

Relationships Matter

Our practice group attorneys understand the importance of creating and maintaining relationships in the industry, and the role that respectful, effective and efficient representation plays in the ability of our clients to finalize each transaction, and position themselves as the front runner for future transactions.
