Giovanni Alberotanza joined the firm's tax department in 2010, having previously worked for the firm while pursuing his Master of Laws in Taxation. Mr. Alberotanza focuses his practice on representation of individuals and businesses throughout all stages of federal and state tax controversies and litigation. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law where he served on the editorial board of the University of Baltimore Law Review, the National Civil Rights Moot Court Team, and as a Litigation Fellow with the Snyder Center for Litigation Skills.
Mr. Alberotanza earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center where he served as a Case Note Mentor for the Tax Lawyer, a nationally recognized legal journal published by the American Bar Association Section of Taxation.
Rounding out his business practice as well as his experience in accounting and finance, Mr. Alberotanza holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business and Towson University College of Business and Economics. Mr. Alberotanza frequently dedicates his free time to community and charitable events in the Baltimore / Washington area.
