Seth J. Groman joined the firm's Tax Department in 2011 having previously worked at a large firm in Baltimore. Mr. Groman's practice focuses on numerous areas of federal, state and local taxation in both tax and estate planning contexts. Mr. Groman has experience handling tax issues in such areas as limited liability companies, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, S Corporations, and international taxation. Mr. Groman has also advised established tax exempt organizations as well as non-profit entities seeking tax-exempt status.
Mr. Groman earned his LL.M in Taxation from New York University and received his J.D. from American University- Washington College of Law, where he was a student attorney at the Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic, as well as Note & Comment Editor on the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law. Prior to attending law school Mr. Groman graduated from Tufts University, and he is an active member of the Baltimore Tufts Alliance.
